Inner Critic vs. Supamom

Now that I’m back into a work routine, it’s easy for the critical part of me to take over:
“I’m not doing enough at work.”
“I’m missing too much at home.”
“I’m spreading myself too thin.”
Yesterday I was called home early with a sick Josie, and after realizing I’d miss today’s work events, my inner critic was getting loud.
I’ve worked with a mindset coach and therapist who’ve helped me recognize those thoughts… but today, it wasn’t those relationships or tools that pulled me out of it.
It was this drawing.
From my son.
A little portrait labeled: SPR MOM — a.k.a. Supamom.
Muscles and all. 💪🤎
If your inner critic has been creeping in too, I hope this is your reminder:
You’re doing better than you think.
Your people see you — not for what you check off, but for who you are.
Consider this your Supamom (or Super-Dad, Super-Human) moment today.
Send that inner critic home — because if you don’t, me and my Supamom muscles will come find it and do it for you. 😂
Happy weekend, friends. 🤎
